Well a couple of days ago Google released Libjingle, "a set of components provided by Google to interoperate with Google Talk's peer-to-peer and voice calling capabilities." (Source) So what is in store you ask...
- Voice calls between other PC IM/VOIP clients such as Gaim, Adium, Psi, etc. and Google Talk.
- Voice calls between mobile devices and Google Talk!
- Peer-to-peer applications.
This is huge news and a giant step for Google...good things come in small packages.
