Dell has officially acquired Alienware for an undisclosed amount. According to the Yahoo article:
"Alienware Will Operate as a Wholly Owned Subsidiary Under Existing Management "
Basically, what this means is that Alienware will operate just like it is right now but Dell will own them (gaming reference) and basically provide the paychecks and roll in the profits.
Alienware is a top-of-the-line company that delivers high-end gaming PCs and Laptops.
