Wikipedia more accurate than Britannica?

The scientific journal Nature has published the results of a study comparing the free and user-edited Wikipedia encyclopedia with the well-respected Encyclopedia Britannica. While Wiki had an average of one more error per article than Britannica, the articles were also much longer. Considering the way Wikipedia articles are created and maintained, this comes as a surprise to many critics. While some errors do appear, it is still a reliable source of information.
